Itinerary
Day 1
Addo Elephant National Park, South Africa
This morning you meet your group in Port Elizabeth and are then transferred to the accommodation. In the afternoon we travel to the third largest National Park of South Africa, the Addo Elephant National Park. This Park is home to many of Africa’s big game. Our vehicle gives us a better view on our game drive during the afternoon, especially for the photographers amongst us.

Day 2
Graaff Reinet, South Africa
We leave the Addo National Park today and we travel to the heartland of the Great Karoo – boasting an enriching history of the fourth oldest town in South Africa. In the evening you can enjoy a visit to the Valley of Desolation for a sundowner excursion – the valley offers magnificent views of the the town and the wide open plains. Kindly note during the winter months this will become a Sunrise excursion to the Valley of Desolation the next morning.

Day 3 – 4
Lesotho – Malealea
Today we will make our entrance into the incredible mountain kingdom of Lesotho. Lesotho is one of the world’s highest countries, lying over 1000m above sea level. Crossing the Orange River, we travel up high into the mountains where we stay for the next two evenings. The following day we wake up early and are given an opportunity to partake in a Pony Trekking Excursion through the secluded hills of Lesotho, accompanied by local guides. On your way back to our camping site, the group will visit the local village and school.

Day 5 – 6
Ukhahlamba Drakensberg Park, South Africa
Leaving Lesotho behind we travel through the Golden Gate and make our way to our next destination for the following two days. The Drakensberg Mountains range has some of South Africa’s highest and most incredible mountains. We explore the mountain trails and take our time to enjoy the breathtaking sights in the Ukhahlamba Drakensberg National Park. On our second day, we go for a guided hike with a local guide to see some of the renowned San rock paintings. We encourage everyone to make the most of the day and explore this magnificent mountain area at leisure.

Day 7
KwaZulu-Natal Coast – Durban, South Africa
We will travel downwards as we leave the mountains and make our way to the KwaZulu-Natal Coast. Today we have an opportunity to visit site where our former South African president, Nelson Mandela was captured as well as making a stop along the way at Howick Falls, allowing you to take in the beauty of this viewpoint before carrying onto our next stop for the evening. We make our way to the lively city of Durban, this is South Africa’s most famous surfing spot where you can enjoy a stroll along the promenade before heading to our final destination, St Lucia.

Wetland Park, South Africa
In the morning we travel to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve for a game drive. The park is the only conservation managed by the state in the province of KwaZulu-Natal, where all the Big Five can be found. The park now has the largest population of white rhino in the world, due to conservation efforts. In the afternoon, we freshen up and enjoy a boat cruise on St Lucia estuary.

Day 9
Eswatini – Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary, South Africa
We begin the day early making our way to Eswatini (Formerly known as the Kingdom of Swaziland). Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary is Swaziland’s oldest sanctuary, covering a surface of 4,560 hectares. No predators can be found in this section, which gives the opportunity for self-guided hikes. Hiking is a terrific way to get close to nature and wildlife. Take part in the many activities on offer here. The afternoon is free to enjoy the optional activities on offer her. Choose from game drives, mountain biking or simply visit the Chief’s village.

Day 10
Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary
Due to the absence of dangerous game the sanctuary can be freely explored. In the morning you have an opportunity to enjoy a morning guided nature walk along the “”Nature Trail”” providing interpretation of the history and environment of the surrounding area.

Day 11 – 12
South Africa – Kruger National Park, South Africa
Making our way back to South Africa we enter the gates of the Kruger National Park and embark on our first game drive in the truck. The Greater Kruger National Park is home to Africa’s Big 5 as well as plenty of other African animal species.
We travel a short distance today and make our way to the picturesque Panorama Route, visiting the highlights of Bourke’s Luck Potholes, the Three Rondavels and God’s Window before returning to camp in the early evening.

Day 13
Greater Kruger Area, South Africa
We will make the most of our day driving through the Park. Today you have the opportunity to experience Kruger in an open sided 4×4 safari vehicle. In the afternoon you have the chance to enjoy an optional sunset game drive.

Day 14
Kruger National Park – Johannesburg, South Africa
Some of you will elect to partake in the optional morning walk and will therefore have an earlier start to the day. After packing we make our way to our final destination Johannesburg. We arrive at Belvedere Estate in the late afternoon and you are invited to join for an optional traditional meal which can be booked with your guide on the day before arrival. Many memories will be shared and great tales will be told about the wonders of African Travel.

Onward Travel Plans
Due to circumstances beyond our control while on tour (such as border crossings, traffic, breakdowns and delays, etc), the end time on the last day cannot be guaranteed. Therefore we strongly recommend you stay the night and fly out the next day. Please consult with your booking consultant.
