Itinerary
Day 1
Arusha – Tarangire National Park, Tanzania
You be collected from your hotel and then take a 2 hour drive to the beautiful Tarangire National Park. Travelling through the reserve in an open air vehicle, experience a close up with the elephants, buffalos, zebras, and maybe leopards. After taking in the wonders of nature, we make our way out of the park and you drive to the Lake Burunge Tented Camp where you can relax and have a good night’s rest.

Day 2
Tarangire Area – Lake Manyara National Park, Tanzania
After breakfast we take leave the Tarangire Area to Lake Manyara National Park which has a shallow, alkaline lake and is known for it’s bird species, primate-filled forests (which is home to the long-tailed Guenon monkeys), and beautiful, lush grassy plains. There is a great chance that you will spot elephants, giraffes, hippos, wildebeests and impalas while the forests near the lake is filled with noisy groups of monkeys. After an adventurous game drive, you will make your way to the Kirurumu Manyara Lodge where you spend the night, before travelling to the Serengeti the next day.

Day 3
Lake Manyara Area – Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Your journey today takes you through cooler lands towards the biggest park in Tanzania – The Serengeti National Park. With its unique rock formations (commonly know as kopjes) dot the grassy landscapes and are the home of many predators. The park is well known for the yearly migrations of hundreds of thousands of wildebeests and zebras searching for fresh grass and water. Your camp for the night is determined by the season you travel in, you will be set up inside the park at Kati Kati Tented Camp

Distance: 200km (4 – 6 hours travelling time)
Day 4
Serengeti National Park, Tanzania
Spend the day on game drives exploring the Serengeti National Park. The migration of the herds determines the areas you visit in the park. The herds are usually followed by predators such as lion, leopards and cheetahs. The herds move to different side of the park depending on the season – during the short rainy season they would move to the south and during the longer rainy season they would move to the northern side. Spend another night at the same camp before the next days journey.

Day 5
Serengeti National Park – Karatu – Coffee Walk, Tanzania
Enjoy some more game viewing today before making your way out of the Serengeti. Your next stop is the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Upon your arrival at the edge of the crater, be prepared to be amazed at the magnificent views of the giant caldera below. Before we leave the crater and drive to Karatu where you will spend some time in the coffee plantations.

Distance: 170km (4 – 6 hours travelling time)
Day 6
Karatu – Ngorongoro Crater – Karatu, Tanzania
Wake up bright and early! Start your day with a delicious breakfast before travelling back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The volcanic crater is home to a large amount of mammals such as the ‘Big Five” as well as hyenas, rare wild dogs and over 500 bird species. You return to your accommodation after your extensive game drive in the crater to spend another night here.

Distance: 50km (1 – 2 hours travelling time)
Day 7
Karatu – Arusha, Tanzania
Enjoy your last breakfast before making your way back to Arusha. Arriving in the early afternoon, your tour comes to an end here.

Distance: 160km (2 – 3 hours travelling time)

Due to circumstances beyond our control while on tour (such as border crossings, traffic, breakdowns and delays, etc), the end time on the last day cannot be guaranteed. Therefore we strongly recommend you stay the night and fly out the next day.
