What To Expect

Day 1

Walvis Bay Waterfront The day starts with check-in – 8h30 at our Walvis Bay Waterfront Offices – to start the Marine Dolphin Cruise at 9h00. You’ll receive a boarding pass and all boats depart from the Waterfront Jetty (in front of our office). The Marine Dolphin Cruise proceeds through the Lagoon area, oyster farms all the way to Pelican Point. Here you will be welcomed by the impressive 70 000 plus Cape Fur Seal Colony and the landmark Pelican Point Lighthouse. Day2 

Sandvishawe

The journey to Sandwich Harbour starts with a stop at the Walvis Bay Lagoon to view the flamingos and then proceeds to the Kuiseb River Delta through the Walvis Bay Saltpans. The Sandwich Harbour Lagoon, and it’s rich wetlands, is a Ramsar site (one of five in Namibia) and we always try to reach it via the beach. There are various stops and ample opportunity for some breathtaking photos. One of the stops also includes some light snacks, homemade bakes, beverages and sparkling wine. Some common sightings include animals that are desert adapted like the black-backed jackal, fog-basking beetle, dancing spider (‘white lady of the Namib’), golden mole, Springbok, Oryx, ostrich, brown hyena and gecko. The Lagoon and Saltpans are home to large variety of waders. This is a full day excursion and our vehicles usually only return after 17h30 allowing the for the full utilisation of the golden sunset. Day 3

Mola Mola Safaris Dolphin and Seal Cruise | Walvis Bay

Mola Mola Safaris is based in Walvis Bay on the spectacular desert coast of Namibia. We specialize in giving our guests an unforgettable experience and unique view of the abundant marine life and rich waters of our Atlantic Ocean. Join Mola Mola Safaris for a seal & dolphin cruise, or add a 4×4 trip through the spectacular Namib Dunes to Sandwich Harbour. A great adventure. Included as part of the tour – a delicious light lunch fresh Walvis Bay oysters, drinks, sparkling wine and our famous Namibian hospitality.

Day 4

We will take you to the lagoon, where you will find seals, flamingos, cormorants and pelicans. We also have common sightings of the White Chinned Petrel, Wilson’s Storm Petrel, Black Oystercatcher, the Jackass Pengiun and the Cape Gannet. From there we head to the Pelican Point, having Heavyside and Bottlenose dolphins swimming alongside the boats, Leatherback Turtles and whales. At Pelican Point we will visit the oyster farms, the Walvis Bay harbour and the Lighthouse.

Our three traditional Catamaran and Speedboat Catamarans can accommodate up to 80 guests, with lots of seating space and never overcrowded vessels – we have a cabin area, comfortable seating and toilet facilities on board.

Day 5-6 

The Mola Mola Day

allows you to enjoy all the best experiences in one, epic day! The Atlantic Ocean, the beach at Pelican Point, amazing lunch occasion and the ancient, magnificent dunes of Sandwich harbour.
Starting your day on our exhilarating boat cruise, you get to meet the popular pelicans and sassy seagulls joining us on board. A friendly seal or two might pop by on the boat, and if you are really lucky, you will get to experience the wonder of dolphins swimming along in the blue ocean waters. With many surprises along the way, our experienced crew will share interesting information and anecdotes about the area.
Reaching the uninhabited Pelican Point peninsula, you will disembark direct onto the beach, where a beautiful Beach Braai (barbeque) set-up awaits. With delicious food (including Namibian crayfish, fresh oysters and beef fillet) and breath-taking setting, you get to experience true Namibian hospitality and brilliant beach vibes with friends and family.
From the beach to ancient, ageless sand dunes! Our guides and 4×4’s will now take you on an expedition experience for the afternoon!
